Philanthropy stands at the forefront of our fraternity, especially within Delta Kappa Epsilon. As DKE members, we are expected to actively engage in community service events, both with the fraternity and in broader charitable initiatives outside. All members are required to participate in community service hours, which include events on their own time as well as fraternity-sponsored Ole Miss philanthropy events. Our members engage in everything from cleaning up Sardis Lake, delivering food to local first responders, hosting first responder lunches, doing work in the community, helping coach youth with OPC, and many more opportunities
In November 2025, the Chi chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon lost our brother Knox Boudreau (PC '24) to suicide. Knox was a constant light in our chapter, always smiling and cracking jokes. If you needed to laugh, you could always count on Knox to brighten your day. He had an infectious energy and was always there for the people around him. With big goals and a big heart, Knox made everyone feel like family, leaving a lasting impact on the world. We miss Knox every day and want to help ensure that no one else has to endure the pain we feel. To address Men's mental health, we created the Knox Initiative, spearheaded by our philanthropy chair, Jack McKay. Through our efforts, we were able to raise over $20,000 for Movember through online donations, a pickleball tournament, and a chili cook-off.
